The icon of the Most Holy Theotokos Filermosa was a gift from the Knights of Malta to Russian Tsar Paul I. After the October Revolution, it was secretly transferred to Denmark, and later, Tsar Nicholas II’s sister brought it to Serbia along with a relic of the True Cross and the right hand of John the Baptist. These relics were hidden in the Ostrog Monastery for a long time, and later transferred to a museum in Cetinje. Unfortunately, the icon of Filermosa still remains in the Cetinje Museum and has not been returned to the Church.
