Easter is the most joyful and greatest Christian feast, for which believers prepare through fasting. It is the culmination of the Christian liturgical year, the feast of feasts, because on that great day the expectations and hopes of all the righteous and prophets, from Adam to St. John the Baptist, were fulfilled. The hope of Christians in their own resurrection is founded on the truth that Christ has risen: “For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.”
