SAINT GEORGE THE GREAT MARTYR

The cross is crafted by combining iconographic techniques inspired by Byzantine and medieval originals.

It is produced through metal casting and meticulous hand-finishing, enriched with 24-karat gold and 925 silver, adorned with zircon stones, and set into the finest pieces of waxed walnut wood.

The dimensions of the cross are 93 mm x 150 mm x 22 mm.

Saint George, born in Asia Minor, is one of the most beloved saints in Orthodoxy. Among the Serbs, there are two feast days dedicated to Saint George: Đurđevdan (St. George’s Day) and Đurđic. In Russia, Saint George is depicted on the national coat of arms, as well as in Georgia. Saint George boldly confessed Christ before the Emperor Diocletian, and after enduring severe torture, he gave up his soul to Christ in 303 AD.
