SAINT JOHN OF RUSSIA

On the Greek island of Evia, there are the incorruptible relics of St. John the Russian, one of the most beloved saints in Greece. A native of southern Russia, this saint adorns the home of a huge number of Greek residents because of the countless miracles of his relics and icons. He was a young man who had spent most of his life in a barn. By order of the Turkish aga, he was buried according to the Christian rite and enclosed the expensive robe in which the saint was buried. After three years, he reported to his spiritual father, and at the same time a great light appeared on the grave and so his incorruptible relics were removed.
