SAINT NECTARIOS OF AEGINA

Saint Nectarios of Aegina, a great 20th-century saint, is particularly revered by those suffering from tumors, with many miraculous healings occurring at his grave. As an esteemed theologian, his study on the causes of the separation of the Western Latin Church from the Eastern Orthodox Church is of great significance. Criticizing papism and unionism, Saint Nectarios affirmed that for the Orthodox Church, “the center of unity and the cornerstone of the Church is the Head of the Church, the Crucified Lord Jesus Christ. He is the only Head of the Church; every other should be rejected and condemned,” echoing similar words of Saint Gregory the Theologian.
